Summer party at the V&A

For this outdoor party, held in the V&A’s John Madejski garden, we matched the evening’s energy with elegant, all things British food stalls and delicious, zingy cocktails.

The concept

To convey the cool, cosmopolitan party vibe through our food and styling, we used olive greens, khakis and off-whites tones as a colour base. We then added touches of fun with dashes of bright colours on the canapé trays, and interactive moments such as the roaming oyster shucker.

Cocktails and canapés

To kick off the party, a variety of canapés were served up to guests from crab and mango lotus root crisps, to croustades of wild mushrooms with poached quail’s eggs and béarnaise. And to wash it down, magnums of rosé and deliciously refreshing cocktails.

The food stalls

The food stalls celebrated the best of British produce. Our British charcuterie selection of Cornish beef bresaola, Worcester air dried beef loin, Suffok salami, Somerset sage, mustard and cider salami dressed the stall lavishly, and guests happily tucked into oysters, Chalk Valley sea trout and Brixham crab salads over on the seafood stall.
