Natural History Museum
Situated at the heart of the South Kensington Museum district, this cathedral to the natural world houses a world renowned centre of research, the famous Dinosaur Gallery, and around 80 million items spanning billions of years.
The vast array of different spaces that are available are suited to every event type and style. Regular and temporary exhibitions such as the Wildlife Photographer of the Year, can also provide a point of interest for your party. The Hintze Hall boasts a dramatic sense of place and is home to a stunning 25.2-metre-long blue whale skeleton suspended from the ceiling which takes centre stage in the spectacular space. The beautiful North Hall is fantastic accompaniment or alternative to the Hintze Hall for those with large guest numbers of wanting to do things a bit differently.
The Darwin Centre, dominated by a vast white Cocoon, is a contrasting modern space with soaring steel struts and a wall of glass overlooking the landscaped courtyard (allowing your guests to enjoy the outdoors, inside). The Darwin Centre can also be used as an entrance to Hintze Hall.
Moving into the Earth Galleries, you are greeted by the most intact Stegosaurus fossil ever, found sitting at the foot of an ethereal escalator that ascends through the centre of Earth. The vast chasm of the Earth Hall is adorned with a beautiful celestial map and is the perfect place to start an evening or to increase capacity for a reception.
