The Design Museum Founder’s Feast

Rocket had the pleasure of collaborating with acclaimed chef Jeremy Lee, Chef Proprietor at Quo Vadis, to provide a gala dinner at the Design Museum. This private party was in honour of the institution’s late founder Sir Terence Conran, and coincided with their new display, ‘The Conran Effect’, commemorating his remarkable achievements in design. Known for his love of simple, quality food, as well as being the founder of several iconic London restaurants, the evening was a worthy tribute to the seminal designer.

The menu focused on the finest British ingredients, including a starter of smoked eel with beetroot and horseradish, followed by sirloin steak with pickled walnuts and bitter leaves. The grand finale was an eye-catching hazelnut meringue with autumnal fruits and custard. The Rocket team revelled in the combined joy of cooking alongside the one and only Jeremy Lee at such a spectacular location and for such a renowned figure. We tip our hats to Sir Terence and celebrate his culinary philosophy and achievements which are dear to our hearts at Rocket.
