The past few months have been a learning curve for us all. At Rocket, it has particularly allowed us to really throw ourselves in our charitable efforts, and we are proud to have made over 25,000 meals for NHS keyworkers at the Royal Marsden Hospitals in Sutton and Chelsea since April (please see here to find out more about the Rocket Relief scheme!)
But we wanted to ensure that even as life slowly returns to some form of normality, we do not forget this time and what wonderful acts of humanity have sprung from it. So we are so delighted to have established our very own charitable arm, The Rocket Foundation, kindly supported by our clients with the various Rocket services or products they purchase.
While the incredible frontline keyworkers have been our focus of late, going forward we are going to be supporting our long-term allies, the local homeless shelter Ace of Clubs in Clapham. We’re so excited to begin enjoying indulgence and luxury once again, but we simply couldn’t forget those who need support most in society. It’s an act of hedonism for an act of kindness – and we hope you’ll support us in this.
As we begin to diversify Rocket, with exciting new launches like Rocket Lunch – delicious workplace lunches delivered safely – and The Rocket Box – bringing the summer party season to you – we are also taking these as new opportunities to support our local community. A small optional donation will be made from each purchase into the fund. It’s from here that we can then ensure that those without homes in the Clapham area can at the very least be well-fed.
It’s going to take time for us to all to get back on our feet, and to find our new normals. Which is why we wanted to ensure that helping others was easy and accessible. All that we need from you is your continued support of our business, and we’ll take care of the rest!
