Harvey Nichols' Eggs With Legs

Harvey Nichols’ entry is not one to back down in the upscale Easter egg hunt. In fact, the luxury department store might be the clear champion in the innovative design department. Flaunting a quirky egg cup with legs, or ‘Eggs With Legs’ as they call it, the item is meant to be a beautiful hand-painted table showpiece created by renowned British ceramic designer Mary Rose Young. Young is known for her flamboyant “genre-redefining” designs and describes her style as Alice in Wonderland.

Limited to only 90 pieces per style (they’re only available in two designs), Eggs With Legs arrives topped with a foil-wrapped hollow milk chocolate Easter egg. Once devoured, customers are left with a quaint and eye-catching breakfast accessory perfect for boiled eggs. Each egg cup has been crafted by hand so colours and patterns may slightly vary, making it even more unique.

Artisan du Chocolat's Eggstraordinary El Rosario Dark Egg

Established in 1999, Artisan du Chocolat is known all over for their fine British chocolates that are each thoughtfully made in their 20,000 sq. ft. atelier in the Kent countryside. With a team made up of more than 35 passionate artisans, the company is going strong in the dynamic chocolate industry.

Their fair-trade chocolates, which are sourced from South America from fine cocoa beans called Fino di Aroma, boast a distinctively rich taste and aroma. Recently, they’ve launched their Easter line which includes the Eggstraordinary El Rosario Dark Egg—a single-plantation dark chocolate egg with whimsical various-flavoured mini eggs in a stunning plastic-free and recyclable reveal box. It’s made of 8.5% exceptional dark chocolate with fruity and caramel notes and is from the very first harvest from the El Rosario estate in Necocli, Colombia, a once-barren  550-hectare cattle farm that’s been revived as a cacao farm.

Claridge’s Easter Egg

Claridge’s is a five-star luxury hotel and Art Deco icon located in the heart of London. The decades-old Mayfair institution is more than its hotel arm though because the building also houses a wine cellar that hosts an eclectic collection of rare vintages, a 1930’s-inspired speakeasy (Rocket tip: Come for their signature Fumoir Negroni), as well as an art gallery, which you can only access through their newly restored façade at the back of the hotel on Brook’s Mews.

For Easter, and true to their public persona, Claridge’s has introduced a limited-edition Art Deco Easter egg that’s inspired by their opulent black-and-white lobby. Wrapped in specially made chevron-designed foil and tied with a timeless black satin bow, this Easter egg, handcrafted from the finest quality Valrhona, tastes as elegant as it looks. They say that it takes three days to carefully craft each one—”from hand-tempering and moulding the chocolate, to assembling and wrapping the finished egg.” Inside the egg, however, are salted caramel gull’s eggs, made with salted caramel ganache and milk chocolate, coated in a fine sugar shell.

Venchi's Brutto & Buono Milk Egg

With over 140 years of history behind them, Venchi has become one of the leading chocolate brands in the world. They’re most known for their Gianduiotto, a balanced mix between hazelnut and chocolate, which has received cult status in Italy. It has the typical shape of an upside-down boat and an intense aroma of toasted hazelnuts. According to Venchi, this signature flavour is the epitome of Piedmontese tradition and remains faithful to its original recipe, owing its extraordinary taste to 32% Piedmont hazelnuts from the Piedmont region in northwest Italy. Often considered the best hazelnuts in the world, Piedmont hazelnuts are grown where soil conditions are most desirable.

This Easter, Venchi is offering their delicious Brutto & Buono milk chocolate egg. Carefully encased in a beautiful floral-designed box, the egg will surprise even the biggest chocolate fans and connoisseurs because it’s filled with crunchy whole and lightly roasted Piedmont Hazelnuts.
